Some great unit sets there now I really have to look into how to add them (this is how you got me started with modding Civ4 as well ;) )

They are 'antient' only comparing with 'modern' units - most of them are in fact medieval. So i think only Archer and Spearman can be historicaly assigned to period you mention. And Swordsman, Composite Bowman and Horseman - to Nara or Heian period. And I forget about Chariot (both in unitlist and in japanese history).

But forgetting about research and comparing only power Spearman can be comared with Yari Ashigaru, Horseman - with Light Cavalry and so on. (And so they have corresponding outfits) This way we can find here around 70% of land units of Sengoku period (and around 90% of units of Onin war). I think it is a good use for them. Maybe when I finally complete my big map of Japan, I will try to make a large conversion mod.

The only great inaccurance i found is in placing different mons on breastplate and on sashimono. Swordsman have mon of Kuroda (or Kiso - I can't tell for sure) on breastplate and a mon of Chosokabe on sashimono.

I tried using the Ninja but it doesn't work, it crashes when he appears in-game.
Even though I made sure to set VFS=True to all files and get the correct file-relations between the unit and the fxsxml file, it still doesn't work. :(

For me the ninja works perfect. You could upload your XML and fxsxml so people can help you ...

SPEARMAN makes it 12 overlapping, Horseman makes its looks fine but is melee, Chariot archer makes it disapear, horse archer and hun horse archer makes it looks like pikemen...
    Thank you
