My obligatory unnarrated, gameplay only, Let's Play.

I'll call that and raze you. Montezuma, Lautaro, and Genghis Khan attend an early game poker tournament.

Lautaro mounts the legendary “Catapult Defense,” successfully joins the Aztec empire, and finds his former crews gainful employment before retiring to the western frontier!

The 5 Hundred Year's Barbarian War...(oh yeah, and Genghis Khan too).

    1100BC: Initial contact.
    575BC: Appears to have ended.

They looked so harmless @ first ;-).

Status post 350 years: Finished the Mongols, struck a blow to Shaka's coastal cities, and took a Greek city in the anticlimactic Battle of Pharsalos.

JADWIGA TAKES HATTUSA, SETS THE WORLD BACK AN ERA’S WORTH OF COLLECTIVE SCIENCE YIELDS!!!
But, as the old saying goes lucky in culture, unlucky in science.

    NEXT STOP, PERGAMON.
Indeed! The great works of the people of Pericles will not be forgotten, and have been successfully woven into Aztec culture. I wonder if we could learn that double production trick from Curtin?
    Spoiler PERICLES :

THE LIBERATION OF HATTUSA 505AD!!! This crucial moment in Aztec historical lore saw an end to the diabolical Polish scheme begun some 5 centuries previous in 70AD to keep the world's universities from living up to their full potential and enforce a scientific dark age managed out of a holy site in Krakow!!!

(The bully) John Curtin has just captured Toronto (which we just finished liberating). The conquest of Toronto is a matter of GREAT concern!

    THE WORLD IS SPINNING FASTER...
