♠ Austria Under Seige!
The Austrian homeland was assaulted from two sides this season. The Italians attempted to take Trieste but the Fleet there held them off, while the Army of Vienna fended off Russian attacks on Galicia.
♠ The Low Countries, anyone?
Belgium and Holland look rather barren after the first moves. The French seem to have abandoned all hope of capturing Belgium, favoring instead the Iberia peninsula. The German player looks to have a firm grasp on both Supply Centers, with the only threat being the English Fleet in the North Sea.
♠ The Balkans!
This area already seems like its going to be a hot spot. Russia and Turkey are vying for control of the Black Sea. Turkey has taken Bulgaria and Austria has captured Serbia. The Russians look to be eyeing Rumania, while Italy shows just how intent it is on capturing Greece with its Army in Apulia. Greece could be the site of a three-way showdown.
♠ Ice is In!
The newest fad in real estate is icy Scandinavia. The Germans have taken Denmark, while England and Russia are scrambling to conquer their own bits of heaven.
