Hi there, I decided to help out too.

Here's my take on things. First I need to mention that I really love the current (tis' been around forever) colour theme. I wouldn't change it. Along these lines, I'll create some designs that fit into the current colour scheme.

I also like the minimalist approach to the logo. There, visible, but not dominant. So here's my suggestion. I drew it from scratch, so no copyright issues.

Tell me what you think, direction OK?, what to change etc.

You have done an amazing job in replacing the barbarian with a pyramid, which makes more sense as a civilization.

I am tired of the barbarian staring at me.

Is there an way you could make the pyramid replace the A in CIVILIZATION ?

I see it is located between "FANATICS" and "CENTER", but the small offset with the A looks awkward to me...

Or put it behind the CIVILIZATION letters

Also, I wonder how it would look like with a darker color for the pyramid.
