CivFanatics Whatsapp channel

We are trying our best to be at all the places where Civ fans are, so now we have decided to also add an Whatsapp channel to our repertoire.
Whatsapp channels are essentially giant groups, where only the admins can write, and other users can react to the messages.
We will be using this Whatsapp channel to post the news items, which we also put on social media.
So if you want to have the latest Civ news straight to your phone, then join the Whatsapp channel.

To note: In a Whatsapp channel everyone is anonymous. Nobody can see another phone number, also not admins or owners, unless you have the phone number independently in your phone book already.

I don't have the kind of phone needed for this, so I hope that nothing critical to know will be posted there and not on the forum as well.

Everything what is put on the whatsapp channel will be on the main site and most likely on the other social media channels (Facebook, reddit, Instagram, Mastodon) as well.
Or it not, then it's very small social-media compatible content.

It's probably also worth noting that "we" does not mean "all the CFC staff". Much like the other social media channels, the "we" involved with WhatsApp are those who are already on there, and the only place that all of the CFC staff have accounts is at CivFanatics.

Thus many members of the staff would also be missing out on anything that were just on WhatsApp, so there's nothing to worry about if you aren't on there either.
