Civil War

Hi All

Why Did "Sid and the Gang" not put an option of having your cities that are in unrest break away from your Civ, I think that would have been good you could have had a Civil War on your hands in trying to get them back.

Well, I'm going to have to agree with you on this one. It could happen in Civ II if the capital was captured, but they didn't put that in this game. I was kind of disappointed about that, but what can you do? There really should be some possibility for secession in the game, perhaps if one area of your nation was economically superior to another, or if a large majority of people in a certain area are unhappy with your rule.

I agree, I really miss this from Civ2, when you took an enemy's capital their empire might split in two. It made capitals much more important, in CivIII i can't really see any down side to losing a capital which is disappointing.
