Civilization 5 – added HBAO+

Hi all,

I was looking through at the latest Nvidia driver update and it says "Civilization 5 – added HBAO+".

What exactly does this mean? I can't see any in-game options to support this?

some new ambient occlusion on shadows...looks horrible in 3d vision

I was playing a game this evening and I never noticed anything different?

Is has to do with the shadows. You will only notice it if everything is maxed out, especially the graphics dealing with shadows. Not sure how all this enhances a turn based game, but if you like to see the reflection as well as the shadows in the ocean white-caps, it may rock your boat.

The Giant Death Robot leaves nice imprints when it walks.

Is this a setting in the game or do you have to force it through the driver?

It's not in-game in the options. No idea tbh.
