civilization iv bts on ubuntu

Has anyone successfully installed and ran civ 4 bts on ubuntu? If so, how did you install it?
When I try to install bts on ubuntu through wine, the installation window disappears. Please help. thanks

Have you looked at the WineHQ database? That's the best place I know of to get help.

I run BtS on Ubuntu daily but installing it is a different animal. Here is how it works for me:
- Civ4 and BtS is installed on a small XP instalation on the same gear.
- In Ubuntu Cedega (a Wine implementation) is installed.
- In Cedega BtS is started by referring to the XP .exe.

The main issue installing it directly is the BtS Installer.

It might be possible to perform the installation in XP, then copy the files over to Linux but haven' tried that.
