Hi everyone, I've been having issues with my game ever since I updated my laptop with the new Windows 10 Update. This only affects Civ VI- all of my other games are running perfectly fine.

To preface, my laptop was previously able to run Civ VI at medium-low settings at 50-55 FPS, with 60+ FPS in the menu screens. However, after updating last night, this has completely tanked to 15-20 FPS in the menu screens and 5-10 FPS in-game. I've tried a few things, like restarting my computer, ensuring that my switchable graphics is using my graphics card for the game, and more, but it persists. I would greatly appreciate any help.

Here is my set-up:

Graphics Cards:
Display - Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
Renderer - AMD Radeon HD 7600M Series
Processor - Intel(R) Core i5-3210M CPU @ 2.50 GHz
RAM - 8.00 GB

EDIT: Also, here is a visualization of my FPS problem via Razer Cortex (https://imgur.com/a/etDmB7w).

Okay, after tinkering around, I was actually able to resolve the issue by switching from the AMD Radeon card to the Intel Graphics card. Which is bizarre, but if anyone else ever has this issue, this is at least one solution for it.

Never mind, the issue persists in-game. Switching back to the AMD Radeon card just tanks the FPS. If anyone could help me out, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!

Okay, so to follow up, I have been able to partially resolve the issues by deleting and reinstalling my graphics drivers and resetting my game's graphics settings. However, the game still isn't performing as well as it used to- I'm only getting high 20 to mid 30 FPS at the start of the game instead of mid to high 50 FPS like before. Strangely, however, my game's performance in the strategic view has gone back to what it used to average (without V-Sync) at high 80 to low 90 FPS.

Part of me thinks that it's a CPU issue, as my laptop is now 6 years old, but I'm not so sure. If someone could help me with figuring out why my game has decreased in performance, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you!
