Unless you still are on a 9600 baud modem I think you'll be fine. Steam releases are usually pretty fast to download, and the game is only 20 Gb. If it's more than an hour to download I'd be surprised.

I would like to know and hopefully more information will come out before Wednesday at 9 pm Pacific Time about digital codes being released. I bought the Founder's edition through Amazon. Will game codes be released to all companies outside of Firaxis and Steam at the global release times.

Our Nordic countries were quick at expanding the infrastructure. I had 1Mbit fibre back in 1997. I’m on 1000/1000Mbit now.

But still, it’s the release servers and their connection and routing that will dictate the download speed come Thursday if you have a decent service.
