it'll be ready at midnight on the 6th in EST, so I'll be able to start the download and go to bed, then play first thing in the morning on the 6th... just can't wait
Was going to ask if anyone knew when GMG usually receives their keysWaiting...
...
I read on Reddit that someone wrote a ticket to GMG asking if key would be available by early access, they said they should be available. Can’t find the original comment though. Was going to ask if anyone knew when GMG usually receives their keysObviously the answer is "not yet"
You will... once you start playing.I wish I could shut off the time-keeping part of my brain
Fear not--there's no "code" needed if you're using Steam. The game will be available to download at 12 am EST 2/6. Alas, you actually have to download it--no automatic downloads.I am so confused. I bought the Founders edition and see it in my Steam library but it isnt downloaded yet. Am I going to get a code or does it auto download midnight Wednesday ? Who gives me the code ? Do I have to do anything ?

This reminds me of Zeno's paradox, where the arrow never reaches its target. Shudder. . . .Last night I was sitting at my computer and I realized that it was exactly 48 hours until Release in my time zone.
This morning I just realized that it is now 36 hours until Release in my time zone.
I had another game like this from GMG, and I remember they got the keys sorted in time for early access.I read on Reddit that someone wrote a ticket to GMG asking if key would be available by early access, they said they should be available. Can’t find the original comment though.
Firaxis posted incorrect times and it was almost immediately retracted. That didn't stop every online news site from repeating this error and never bothering to correct it. Even now, you will likely find more sites sharing the incorrect time than the corrected time.Thought it was 5pm central. Must’ve been looking at the console timing or something. Not sure I’ll be able to stay up that late to play![]()
Someone at the Steam forums FINALLY pinned the correct times. There was disinformation window where people were pasting in the wrong Newsweek article times in response to any queries about release times. Chaos ensued--even more than is usual for the Steam forums.Firaxis posted incorrect times and it was almost immediately retracted.
