Civilization

i don't know how... but you just made me feel sorry for the barb

good work

That barb deserved it. I have had to many luxuries pillaged and scouts killed to feel-oh ouch, never mind that hurts!

and you keep getting the best quests in the game! Not only will the story be wonderful but if your luck keeps up this will have a happy ending.

Yeah I think you have a good chance at winning, Claudia is a great capital spot. Just keep it close, because winning easily is boring. Also I'm assuming because of the intro you're going for SV? Of course if you haven't already completed the game and are writing after the fact.

I have not finished the game, no. I have, though, played out to about turn 80 or so. I love it when multiple city states target a single encampment--especially as Greece--but I honestly can't remember if that's what happens in this game as I played those first 80 turns about two months ago.

I load a couple of save games in one sitting and take the screen shots before going to write up those turns.

I have read several of Hemlings older stories and if you havent already I would really recommend checking them out, seriously impressive stuff.

I have a suggerstion/wish. Do you have the ability to give names to your units? Or is this all in the past?

Insanely enjoyable, so thanks.

It probably does help my engagement that the same games, and their tantalizing worlds, often emerge from a fog of memory to haunt my daydreams.

Strangely, my favourite aspect is the unresolved human tension between our two immortals. Well done. :)

It's funny, in the stories in my head, the other civs aren't run by immortals. The AI just never seems smart enough for that.

Still, it's funny you mention that...

:O That's gonna make it even better! :D

Oh, except I'd have to replay all the turns after accepting the promotion to get the future screenshots to reflect it. Hmmm...maybe I should. It's getting harder and harder to predict/remember what I did when I played these turns 2 months ago.

It's funny, because this one unit becoming so prominent in the stories was not part of my original plan.

yet another great update from helmling :goodjob:

You even made an explanation for how the civilizations last for eternity! Nice :D Also, I like the prominence of Aloae's Army.

Good update(s)

i think you deserve this
Spoiler :
:traderoute:moai spammers cookie of continuous epic updates:traderoute:

I dont have any special cookies. But i agree: continuous epic updates are awsome and deserve cookies. I like all the wonderspamming, its a good thing that you arn't egypt otherwise there really would be no challenge. But there would be drama as the Karterina and Adspestose argue about wars and killings and the other questionable civ mechanics. Ps can we have some jokes about when the ai do pants on head ******** things?

Oh, God yes, those can be hard to explain in these stories. The worst problem I ever had to deal with though was when I had done something kind of bone-headed. I was telling a story and suddenly my nice little island nation got invaded by some frigates. I was actually in the information age...but my nation was defended by Macemen. Yeah, trying to have that little state of affairs make sense took some narrative gymnastics.
