MP Rule #004 - Never ever send your settler ahead unescorted. It will always, always end in tears.

I can't login... All goes right, but when the blue finishing box has a full green bar, I can do nothing but waiting.... Ah, while I'm typing (note that I had a shower in between, so it really took a while), it come sup alright.

Weird.

I can't believe I read all 17 pages of this lol.

Whats a double move? How can you move twice in one turn?

PS, never played MP, to scared I will get my butt handed to me.

I can't believe it either. :p A doublemove is (roughly, exact definitions vary) when you move after your immediate enemy on one turn, then before him on the next turn.

And really, everyone gets their butt handed to them once or twice, that's no reason not to play MP. :)

Heh! True enough. I didn't even consider the possibility that he was the gloating slaughterer.

No blood. It was all very civil ;)

Turn apparently just rolled over, next turn is up with ~22hrs left on the clock.

I got a message the other day that someone couldn't connect because of me. What do I need to do to prevent this in the future?

Yeah, you're probably running a firewall program (ZoneAlarm, McAfee, Symantec, or just XP firewall) on your PC. Either disabling it prior to launching Civ4 or adding an exception to it allowing inbound access for Civ4 would work.

I check MacAffee and it said that it had full access and could establish both inbound and out-bound connections.

Next turn is up in about 15minutes...
