obviously the game comes out in 3 days its gone gold, etc. etc. but there are some civs that although they havent done anything historically or are not world powers, would be nive to see in the next xp or civ4 whichever comes next, assuming theres a next.

i personally think that there are several modern day nations that would be nice to see in the game. some of these are:

belgium
mexico
australia
the list goes on.

I was thinking of mod-ing Belgium as the medieval/renaissance/imperial nation, not the modern one. Same deal with Mexico, remember the Alamo, and that they could be a civ. Australia would be nice but would only make it on a 100 civ list, IMVVVHO.

Countries that would be great, but will never make it:

Canada :D
Italy
Serbia
Indonesia
Chile
Bolivia
Tunisia
Senegal
Congo

these civ will never make it , on civ4 or civ5!

Australlia? What would there UU be, the video game banner? Goes around lowers an enemy's happiness? The Ausys would probable ban the game anyway if they did that and use the excuse of "It lets you play God!" I think some real countries should just be left out, but some culture should be involved. For example instead of the Ausy you could have the native Austraillians, whatever they are called. The original had the Zulu instead of South Africa and that worked.

Definetly not Austrailia though.

Sorry to the Ausys out there, I had to use you as an example.

Canada? CANADA! Actually I like Canada, but I think adding to many modern civs would turn it into Call to Power, that game was a total rip off. There are enough modern age countries, but I'm sure it seems collor that way, having the Zulu driving tanks down your streets seems colloer than the Czech Republic marching swordsmen into your cities.

Serbia should be in! They have a leaderhead for each era! Ancient: No idea though. Medieval: What's-his-name, Stefan Dusan. Industrial: The WW1 guy who's name slipped my mind. Modern: Who's the non-controversial Yugoslav guy? I think Tito or Milosevic would get some angry civvers. I am an Slab so I should know all of this, all I know is Poland, Serbia, Lithuania, Hungary, maybe Bulgaria, and maybe-maybe Croatia should be in.

I would like to have Assyria (who you can't argue didn't affect the world)

With a ton of countries thoug that would be insane!! I couldn't play a game with what? Every existing civilization that ever was? That would simply be insane!

ASSYRIA ALL THE WAY! Assyria, Babylon, and Sumeria have similar city lists but are very distinctive. When I first started tinkering with the editor of PTW I decided to do a demo civ just to test my skills, and it was Assyria! As for ancient/older civs that might not ever make it might be modded and would be nice:

Akkadians
Medes
Mughals
Latvia
Tuscany
Naples
Jurgurthinians

Did you get a city list for Assyria?

So far I've been planning to wait until Conquests comes out, see what Sumer has, and beg someone to help me find enough Assyrian names (and the few Babylonian names needed to replace the ones taken).

1) Ok, we are not the brilliant United States of America, but Aussies (not Ausys) could make a fair go of a civ, thankyou very much. For our unique unit, you could put in the Light Horse Cavalry or something of the sort, which has quiet a significant place in Australian history (and was responsible for getting Jerusalem from the Turks in world war 1).

2) What do you mean 'they would probably ban the game anyway of they did that and use the excuse of "It lets you play God!"'?? Are you presuming that Australia is some sort of religiously conservative culture? Have you ever been to Australia?

3)'instead of the Aussie you could have the native Austraillians, whatever they are called'. Ok, I don't mind you using Australia as an example, but if you are going to knock us as a nation, at least get your facts right. Native Australians are called Aborigines. They never constituted a politically (or culturally) unified force, as they were seperated by hundreds of individual languages. Australia only became united as a political entity in 1901 - thus if Australia was to be considered as a civ at all, it could only be post-white settlement.

That all being said, I probably agree that Australia wouldn't qualify either - but if you are going to disqualify us, at least come up with some valid, informed reasons for doing so.

@Louis XXIV: My Assyrian cities were on my old computer and it wasn't that unique but if you want it I can throw it back together in a minute or two, no problemo. Also I am using Assyria in my scenario (read my sig and ask about it!) so any civver out there can use anything to do with it.
@Margim: I think Australia COULD be in but CANT. Same reason I think Austria-Hungary can't because they are too modern, but Austria-Hungary and Australia are opposite on this point. Cramming Austria and Hungary together is insulting and Australia can be crammed into England.

Here is my oddest civ idea, drumrole please:

BEDOUINS! I tried including them in a couple scenario ideas but they are just ancient Arabs and ancient Arabs didn't accomplish much.

 What if we like the Czech Republic?

Isn't Numidians shorter than Jugurthinians, and probably a better name too. I like Mughalistan.

Once again Mongoloid Cow this is just an idea of oddballs. Numidia is shorter but I kinda like the Jugurthine Wars. Re:Mughals/Mughalistan: You really like central Asia, don't ya? I really like eastern Europe. After C3C's release someone should put together mods for regions. Like Central Asia and Eastern Europe. Some ideas on the civs, please correct me because you are the expert on Central Asia.

Eastern Europe: Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Serbs, Croats, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Romania, Moldavia.
Central Asia: Turkestan, Uighuristan, Mughalistan, Uzbeks, Kazakhs, Gok Empire, Bactrians of some kind, Aryans, Medes, Kara-Khitai, a couple forms of Turks-Seljuks?
Africa: Mali, Ghana, Abbyssinia, Nubia, Numidia/Jurgurthinians, Songhai, Somalis, Boers, sorry I'm not good with native tribes.
Americas: Tupi, Carib, Cherokee, Sioux, Anasazi, Inuit, again sorry I'm not good with native tribes.

Re-reading the title, its supposed to civs that shouldn't be in, but are cool anyway

How about the Harlem Globetrotters. Maybe I should take this a bit more seriously. Maybe Antartica, if you remember in the Simpsons, they had a couple of Aircraft Carriers :D

Seriously, though. How about the Mittanians (maybe a bit obscure, they dominated the Palestinian/Mesopotamian region until the Assyrians and Hittites wiped them out)

Actually australia, brazil, and Canada should be included for terrritory purposes and i bet in the future these will be the new powers as they are resource and land rich..Australia is a must tho, i mean they had australians fighting ever since the Crimean war didn't they? The UU could be a variation on the Guerilla,

2) What do you mean 'they would probably ban the game anyway of they did that and use the excuse of "It lets you play God!"'?? Are you presuming that Australia is some sort of religiously conservative culture? Have you ever been to Australia?

Well it was an Australian group resonsible for the butchering to **** of Twisted Metal:Black for the PAL release. I suppose he means stuff like that.

I DO! The penguins laughted at Homer and jumped in the water. But this time it was his first day. "Dad, the earing can plug the hole. I'll plug your hole, I mean eureka!" "I told him that picture would come back to haunt him." "Yes, I suppose he is hansom in an ugly sort of way." "Welcome to Berlin: Reunited and it feels so good." To be on topic: how about a middle eastern mod, ancient and medieval: Almohads, Zirids, Sassanids, Saracens, Seljuks, Ottomans, Arabs, Persians, Mittani, Elamites, Israel, Nubia, Abbyssinia, Phoenicia, Medes, Guti, Harrapa, Armenians, Abbasids, Mameluks, Fatimids. Some of these are more or less the same (Mameluks, Fatimids, Saracens) but they are slightly different dynasties.
