Clash of Titans: Debate between Faction Leaders

A dark night, next to the main fireplace, the two leaders stepped forwards, the people cheered, the various leaders of the clans were assembled along with shamans, lead hunters and other leading personalities of the tribe. The two leaders stepped forwards, the Chief from the Tribal Council, and his challenger, Shattered, the Enlightened One, unifier of the three clans into the Sacred Triad.

Rules for debate:

in-character, as they spoke 4000 BC, no metagame or rules talk. Focus on advantage of traits and combination synergies with unknown (random) civilizations (Unique units and buildings).

This debate is here to let the leaders of the Triad Coalition Platform and the Tribal Council Platform present and argue the cases of their personalities.

Triad Coalition Platform

Aggressive/Philosophical

Tribal Council Platform

Financial/Industrious

Timus the Protector

Imperialist/Protective

Taken from the other thread:

Let's add another question to the queue...

However, we have already researched all leaderhead (Alexander) synergies with all the civilizations in BTS.

Since you brought up the topic...
How would the "leaderhead synergies" of Alexander compare versus Huayna Capac for each and every civ?

I have a question for the Tribal Council. Sir(s), my village is constantly being pillaged by Barbarian raiders and packs of wild animals. Why do your traits and leadership protect my village better than the warrior traits of the Triad?

Thanks for the question, pat123.

At present the only defensive capability known to our tribe is warriors armed with clubs made of wood or stone. Even without the additional experience gained as each unit is trained under the aggressive trait of Alexander, the Triad's chosen leader, our tribe's warriors are more than a match for any animal or barbarian warrior. That advantage will fade over time, as the barbarians learn new methods of attacking us, and we believe that our leader Huyana Capac's vision of the future offers a faster path to better weapons and training for our warriors, due to the financial trait. Under financial leadership, increased commerce between our landowners and tradespeople will result in more people being able to research new technologies such as the working of bronze or harnessing of animals.

Looking beyond the barbarian threat, we believe that Huyana Capac's earlier access to all the wonderous new technologies of the future, of which we can only dream today, will be much more valuable than the slightly better trained military offered by Alexander.

[OOC]
Rashiminos, your question has not been forgotten, it's just a huge amount of information. With random civ, there's really no telling what we're going to get.

Not a sound is heard when the shadows part and Timus steps among the gathering. His eyes do a full circle, looking at each individual as if measuring their worth. He than turns towards Rashiminos.

"My first priority is the safety of our people. From the feet of both my father and grandfather, when they guarded our tribe, I learned of great ways to protect us. Ways to better protect our city and faster ways to build defenses to protect us." He pauses as he once more looks out upon the crowd.

"Know that I also believe that agression can be a strong defense as well! Using scouts to maintain a strong vigil of our surrounding lands, so that we might know when our enemy approaches. Striking at the enemy when they are weak, to keep ourselves protected from their attacks! And no longer will we wander the lands, moving as the seasons and herds take us. Now we will place small communities near those sources of crops and food, so that we will always have it at hand."

"I am not a leader who stands at a distance while my men fight in battle. I will stand with them, with our great warriors and sing of their heroism upon our return!"

Glancing to pat123, "I understand your question is for the tribal council, but know that I intend to keep a strong force of our soldiers with you. Before the dangers that live out there reach you and your family, know that they must first face our soldiers."

"Honorable Timus, I have inscribed thy great name into this stone tablet over here, so you are hereby part of this great process".
