I suspected that many of the "confirmed bugs" in this thread: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=381414
were actually fixed by now, so I went through loading a bunch of them to test. It's about time that thread got cleaned up a little.

Confirmed as fixed:
2, 4, 7, 16, 18, 19, 22, 23, 24, 27, 31, 34, 35, 36, 38, 45, 46, 51, 52, 80, 87, 88, 104, 112, 113, 117, 124, 126, 127, 130, 132, 135, 151, 153, 156, 164, 186, 221, 226

Confirmed as still bugged:
6, 12, 13, 17, 21, 32, 39, 42, 49, 120, 143, 161, 171, 188, 214, 217, 220

I only made it through a quarter of them, but over 2/3 of the ones I tested were fixed.

Okay, i've gone through the list now.
I marked the fixed bugs, and added the current version number to the ones you've said are still there.
Somewhere it has been mentioned, that a restructuring of the list would make sense, which i'd also like to do. The question is now, if you'll do some testing in the next time for the bugs, because if yes it would not be a good idea to change the numbering of the list during that process.

Awesome thanks. I plan to do more when I get time, probably not until next week. I think it makes more sense to categorize them when there are fewer confirmed ones, but I'll keep that in mind too.

2nd round done:

confirmed as fixed:
20, 26, 41, 53, 61, 65, 67, 70, 71, 73, 75, 77, 78, 85, 86, 89, 90, 92, 95, 102, 106, 109, 138, 144, 158, 193, 208, 215, 216, 224

confirmed as still bugged:
43, 54, 74, 91

That's 69 fixed and 21 still bugged so far.

Third round done. The next one will be organizing.

confirmed fixed:
3, 29, 66, 72, 108, 197, 200, 202, 203, 206, 207, 222, 225

confirmed broken:
129, 162, 163, 166, 168, 188, 191, 194, 201, 205, 210, 214, 217, 220

From the "Possible bugs" list:
confirmed fixed:
3, 5, 6, 7, 11

The patch notes sticky in this forum is outdated. I'd suggest removing the sticky and replacing it with a link at the top of the bug list to here:
http://forums.2kgames.com/showthread.php?89117-Patch-Notes
which is the always-updated full list of notes since launch.

I would recommend removing the "suggested improvements" bit at the beginning of the bug list. That has no place in the bug list and the sticky in the general forums is infinitely better at this point. Link to that instead.

Here are the sorted categories (I'd recommend using list=1 formatting for each one to reduce the hassle of future editing)
  • Graphical: 1, 10, 14, 28, 55, 97, 116, 119, 142, 157, 165, 170, 187, 223
  • UI: 6, 32, 33, 37, 42, 54, 56, 60, 62, 82, 94, 101, 110, 128, 143, 149, 154, 159, 163, 166, 167, 168, 180, 181, 183, 190, 196, 198, 201, 205
  • Crash: 13, 21, 115, 120, 169, 171, 173, 177, 191,
  • Text: 25, 214, 217,
  • Automation: 43, 79, 91, 131, 134, 175, 189, 194, 228
  • Gameplay: 12, 17, 39, 40, 48, 49, 59, 64, 74, 76, 81, 84, 111, 118, 121, 122, 129, 137, 145, 147, 150, 160, 161, 162, 172, 184, 185, 188, 199, 204, 210, 212, 213,
  • Diplomacy: 44, 57, 63, 105, 152, 178, 227,
  • Multiplayer: 58, 100,
  • Mods: 11, 83, 136, 218, 219,
  • Map: 68, 114, 123, 125,
  • Misc: 139, 148, 174, 176, 182, 195, 209,
  • Possible bugs but may be by design: 66, 69, 98, 133, 140, 146, 155, 179, 220,
  • Fixed: (everything else not listed, might help to change this category color to GREEN)

A couple other issues I found:
  • numbers 1, 97 and 142 are all the same thing (red/green dots on map)
  • 17 and 118 are the same (resources inaccessible in lakes)
  • 56 and 205 are the same (air unit rebasing issues)
  • 68 should be renamed to "earth map script issues" (lots of issues with this script because it doesn't use the same placement sub systems that the other maps do)
I still haven't gone through each and every bug, some of them I just read the titles and may need to be moved later when I get into the thread but this should be mostly accurate for now.

Holy crap magnus333, that's a lot of work to do for the community!! Great job!

Thanks a lot for your effort and dedication! You deserve some kind of reward for all that!

:goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob:

Next patch, a civ named after Magnus, "The Magnucians". ;)

:yup:

Third round done. The next one will be organizing.

confirmed fixed:

Please check this one again.

Updated the thread, added the link.

 hmm...will probably have first to sort that list to see, if something might be considered a bug.

Here are the sorted categories

I'll sort the fixed ones after the still open ones, or do you have a better idea?
I'll resort the stuff in the next days.

On 222: Sorry, I was using a different build to verify this one. It's not fixed in the 217 build.

I figured "fixed" would be their own category, no reason to keep them in the same categories as the current bugs imo as it just makes the list too bulky and unwieldy. The point is narrowing the list down so UI or Graphic dev X could come in and quickly see what currently needs work rather then be overwhelmed by dozens of things that were already fixed. In fact, I'd put all the fixed ones in their own post at the end of the thread.

Ah, took a short look at the end of the manual :mischief:.

That's the second reasonable option. Will probably just go with that one, because it's less work :D.

puuuhh...
sorted parts of the list, rest will be done tomorrow or thursday, the formating afterwards.

I moved some bugs to other categories.
e.g. i've placed the inaccessible resources in lake tiles, which you sorted unter gameplay, under "map/map creation", because i think it's not meant that they should be accessible in the lake, but rather that they should not be placed in a lake (because a whale in a lake...?).
But i don't think the overall differences are tooo big.

Cool thanks. Once it's all together I'll start going through each category in detail. I've already gone this far, might as well go the extra mile and verify each and every one.

Some of the issues could be in multiple categories so it's going to be a little vague. We'll just do the best we can, some organization is better than none after all. :)

Would be great magnus :).

Most of the stuff is now sorted. Must have somewhere made somehow some mistakes, because sometimes the numbers on your list were already missing , so if anyone sees something incorrect, then just post it.

The remaining bugs are going much slower, they are much more complicated. We may need a "possibly fixed but can't be confirmed" category for a few of these...

Graphical:
Still bugged: 1 (merge 13 into this one, it's one issue that manifests differently in dx9/11), 2, 5, 7 (rename this to dx9 2560 resolution issues), 8, 9, 10, 11
Fixed: 3
Not reproducible: 6 (No save, no recent posts about it and seems related to modding)

UI:
Still bugged: 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 11, 13, 14, 16 (tech fixed, diplo not),
Fixed: none
Not reproducible: 2 (need a save just before this happens), 15 (no save)

Crashes:
I'm pretty sure items 1-5 are now fixed, even though the games in the threads still crash. They are all reported right around the same time which happens to be when these patch notes were released:
* Legacy saves for players who own Babylon will work correctly.
* Mods that broke (will not load, and saves would crash on load) as the result of the .62 patch (full Civ mods mainly) now work correctly.
* Fixed save format…
Until we get new saves reproducing these issues, it's probably best to take these ones off the list.

Automation:
Still bugged: 1, 2, 5
Fixed: 4, 6 (one of the two issues is fixed here, the remaining one is actually something else confirmed in another report)

"possibly fixed but can't be confirmed":

What about gameplay 31, Black Hole? I am unable to reproduce the bug as of latest patch. (It was prevalent previously.)

Thanks magnus :).
Adjusted the list accordingly, i also added the last bugs, which were confirmed by Dennis Shirk, to the list.
Seems that there's quite some progress :).

If other people read this here too, then please note that the above mentioned numbering of the bugs has changed now, because i've moved the fixed ones to the last post.

I've also added a new category for the not reproducible bugs.

"possibly fixed but can't be confirmed":

Mmhh....i thought i noted it as fixed, but i see the 217 flag there, so magnus says it's still there .
If you are totally sure that it's not anymore there (is there a save?), then i'll move it to the fixed section.

So, a problem:
The update 221 added the korean localization.
If i read some comments in the threads right, then also other files have been changed, and i think one user noted that something with the food basket has changed.
But the changelog doesn't mention any bugfixes.
Are the things which i've flagged with [FIX COMING] now already fixed, or will that last until the next patch ?
