"Europeans" and "Muslims" are not clearly distinct, or even particularly meaningful, as historical categories. It's a grand historical duality of no greater vintage than 2001.

That only gets us back to the 16th century.

To get back before that, we need "Saracen," whom I meet with in Spenser and Tasso.

Who were? The Bosniaks, who were European and Muslim? The Armenians, who were Asian and Christian? Simply because you can describe the world in a certain way doesn't mean that the world actually looks like that, or even that it's useful to pretend that it does.

Or - and this is most important - that people at that time saw it that way.

    I don't think they're absolutely co-extensive. Here's Wiki:

Well, not different in any meaningful sense like haplogroups, culture, history, or religion anyway. All the sorts of things that people tend not to notice.

Well, no, there aren't any clear distinctions between "Europeans", as a group, and "Muslims", as a group, that can be described in terms of haplogroups, culture, history or religion. That's not how any of those things works.

Isn't that what I just said? You seem confused. Are you sure you understand how this stuff works?

Impossible question to answer since there's no clear distinctions to be made between either group.

What happened to personal responsibility? Do you also think that violence is partly the fault of those who somehow provoked the violence?

If you create a violent situation then yes, you are obviously responsible.

Isn't Steven Bannon one of those people who believe in the inevitability of a clash between East and West and will do their best effort to make sure the inevitable happens?

    Domen nasai, Fishu-san.

It's arguable, but I suppose one could refer to Muslims and Christians as opposed to Muslims and Europeans. Looking at this in terms of Muslims and Europeans overlooks a great deal of both historical and modern conflict and oppression that Muslims have inflicted on Middle-Eastern Christians.
