If tomorrow, Donald Trump said that climate change is a serious threat and he was acting to combat it, the entire GOP would change its beliefs just like that.
So, sure, they can deny that position at the drop of a hat. They won't, of course. But they could. They all supported protecting insurance for people with pre-existing conditions which the Democrats were trying to take away, after all.
I strongly doubt this is true. In fact I suspect that if Trump did this he would be denounced as a RINO, a traitor, and likely impeached and convicted shortly thereafter.
What evidence do you have that Republicans, elected or otherwise, would not go along with something Donald Trump says?
I'd like to see the Democrats in the house do the work. They need to hold the hearings, collect the information, and craft carefully reasoned legislation that could become law, be enforced, and provide direction for the country on the seemingly endless list of issues the Republicans want to ignore. If they go the GOP route and make a weekly exercise of scribbling something akin to "we hate dat Obamacare thing" on a cocktail napkin from the bar they are hanging around in I will be sorely disappointed.
Everything he's said has reinforced the existing prejudices of the Republican voter base.
This is true. However, by observation of D'ump it does seem likely that he could tell the congress "give me a bill that does everything the country could possibly do to reverse the climate change process, just title it the 'management of the great climate change hoax act,' and then tell the Republican base that the purpose of the bill is to cause environmentalists heads to explode into bursts of methane so they would support it.
Its funny because Republican states keep getting smashed by more violent Hurricanes each year
Republicans are just going to have to learn the hard way
They're going to get it good and hard as you are fond of saying.
Context: Acosta banned from White House
"The truth is there was no collusion with the Russians and the Trump campaign...There's not a single piece of evidence...It's that simple."
-- newly-appointed acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker, who is now overseeing the Mueller investigation, in June 2017
Notice some of the alpha/ beta unconscious interaction between trump and acosta. The little wus wont yield the mic to the girl, but watch at 1:20, trump takes one step towards him and the whiny, snively man*, bows, lowers his hands and very quickly surrenders that mic
*yes, a stereotype definition
It looks like the intern assaulted Acosta.
Funny how the "Rule of Law" aficionados aren't up in arms about this violation of the First Amendment.
Acosta can be the new poster child for the #me too movement
Not sure if there is a "#me too movement" for people who stand up in front of a person and try to pull something out of their hand and are politely told too stop.
Poor mr. Acosta, such a victim. That mean man and little girl didnt allow him to grandstand and demonize...
Well, if there was any doubt that bernie14 was a fascist it's gone now.
I wonder what happened to "civility biased"?
EDIT. is mr acosta a member of the community?
It's more likely that Bernie is a member of the demographic that the Republicans will never oppress than he is a fascist. Favoured demographics don't need to worry about the government repressing their civil rights, after all.
