Good for her. It looks like a real fight between Obama and Clinton. Should be interesting.

Spoiler :
MANCHESTER, N.H. - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton won New Hampshire's Democratic primary Tuesday night, pulling out a stunning victory over Sen. Barack Obama in a contest that she had been forecast to lose.

On the Republican side, Sen. John McCain defeated former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and climbed back into contention for their party's presidential nomination.

Obama had beaten Clinton, who has been the national front-runner, in the Iowa caucuses last week, and he had appeared to be poised for victory in New Hampshire with tracking polls showing him surging into the lead.

But with 63 percent of Democrats precincts reporting Tuesday night, Clinton had 39 percent of the vote to 36 percent for Obama, who is seeking to become the nation's first black president. Former Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina trailed with 17 percent.

Polling place interviews showed that the female vote — which deserted the former first lady when she finished third in last week's Iowa caucuses — was solidly in Clinton's New Hampshire column.

The former first lady also was winning handily among registered Democrats. Obama led her by an even larger margin among independents.

Despite running a distant third to his better-funded rivals, Edwards had no plans to step aside. He pointed toward the South Carolina primary on Jan. 26, hoping to prevail in the state where he was born — and where he claimed his only victory in the presidential primaries four years ago.

After his wife, Elizabeth, introduced his speech Tuesday night, Edwards made his way deliberately to the stage to raucous cheers and loud country-western music, then said he would stay in the race all the way to the Democratic convention.

"Last week I congratulated Sen. Obama when he finished first and I finished second. One state down. Tonight I congratulated Sen. Clinton and Sen. Obama. Two states down," he said. "Forty-eight states to go."

they got the same amount of delegates from the state. obama still leads. non story.

Uh....no Hillary has more "superdelegates" delegates who always vote because of their power in the party. Hillary leads(by like 100 delegates).

Hillary prolly has this race. The thing about Obama is his speeches are good but he gets killed in EVERY debate. Its prolly cause he is just a good writer.

i said that in the other thread, but in regards to NH, that simply isnt true, yet. they are tied.

My point is nationwide Obama has to do better than Hillary would to win...so tieing isnt good enough. Besides Obama was sposed to blow her out by 9-13 points here, so this is a huge turnaround. Big victory for Hillary.

Why doesn't Edwards just get out and back Obama. He is going nowhere and is just splitting the anti-Hillary vote. What does he think he is doing.

I agree - even with Richardson droping out Obama would take it - Obama is 2% behind and Richardson has 6%

I think Richardson would split between obama and Hilary. The real Killer is Kucinich.

god im so terribly disgusted with New Hampshire :vomit:

you know why she won its because she did that fake crying BS and then after that all the women changed ther minds and voted for her

Obama gave one hell of a good speech

the dems must really want to lose

Hoping for a Hillary win to be her VP?

Not a chance in the world would she offer that. He has been the primary attack dog against her. Richardson is in it for that.
