your line of thinking does show traditional golden domer tendencies, but it was more in reference to "i like team a! except when they play team b, but I still like team a more than team c! still, team c is better than anyone else!" shtick

I pull for Alabama, Auburn and the rest of the SEC West, in that order

Though I admit, it never really hurts my feelings to see anyone but Alabama do poorly . . .

that's mostly logical and acceptable in college football with the lack of a playoff making popular perception (and therefore SOS and conference) overwhelmingly important

I grew up an Alabama fan, but I went to both schools and liked Auburn a lot better, both the school and the city. With the rest of the West, it's mostly because the East was so dominant in the 90s, I always pulled against them . . .

That's basically it for me. Aside from my local ties to just about every team in Virginia, I have teams I pull for in a certain order. It doesn't break my heart if they don't do well, but I still root for them.

Kraznaya, is it really such a crime to like certain teams, but not as much as others?

By the way, speaking of Virginia teams, the Hokies blasted the Hoos!

edit: exception is when they play Notre Dame. I'll root against Notre Dame then.

I think the fact that OSU/Michigan is an interstate rivalry makes it very different from Alabama/Auburn . . .

great weekend for me with SC blanking fucla and the golden domers getting crushed as well. only negative was utah losing, letting fucla in the title game, but it's just another chance to see fucla get crushed on national tv so it's all good.
