If that's true, I'd like to know!
I'm waiting for this...
(Its hilarious, isn't it?)
Yeah, the WIP looked amazing. It would make your Hitler mod even more perfect.
I doubt Leugi would want to voice anyone but Belzu himself...
If any other 3d leaderheads come around, I will keep language resources handy. I'm already working on recording speech for Mansa Musa.
Yes, Bambara voice acting. I may not be a native speaker, but disregarding the slight tonal aspects, Bambara phonology is very simple, and comparable to stuff in French and Portuguese, both of which I can speak well. I found some good dictionary and grammar resources too, so while it may not be 100% accurate, it is convincing, at least. It's not like Firaxis has an 100% accurate command of languages anyhow.
I think we have a lot of Canadian civ players and let's players, so Pearson is definitely a possibility for voicing if it comes up!
I can only speak german for recordings ^^
I was about to say, Pearson would be a good candidate for the next animated leader screen with voice acting. So many Canadians could help with it!
Anyway, I love the animation for Parkes. Despite the beard being clipped, it was very fluid and great. I can't wait for when the update is released and I get to have that in my games.
Take it from two Spanish speakers... country-specific accents are tricky! If you get some one from Puerto Rico (such as myself) and have them voice Juarez or Bolívar imitating a Mexican or Venezuelan accent, it would probably sound like a caricature. And unlike with a long gone ancient leader who speaks an extinct or uncommon languages, Latinos will notice where you have gone wrong.
Hell, even in the same country the can of worms exists. If you heard Benito Juarez being voiced by a speaker from Monterrey (north of Mexico) I'm sure people from there would be tilting their heads. Benito is after all, from Oaxaca. But I think if you had a speaker from Mexico City we would be fine. Televisa, after all, made that accent the recognizable Mexican accent, the same way the BBC did for "The Queen's English."
Well, that means nobody will voice David... except me.... or not?
Natan can voice David. I don't think Leugi knows him that well yet, does he? If Natan can hold himself together long enough to record reasonable lines, then what's the problem with him voicing David, unless he has a really discordant voice?
Natan, are you even old enough to voice David?
Natan did say a while back that he's a young teen, so it might be a little strange to hear his voice coming out of David's mouth.
With that said, it would be great for David to get a VA, regardless of who it was. It's a little strange, watching him talk and express himself without making any sound.
Also, we'd have to decide between Modern or Ancient Hebrew.
I know a guy, I'll see what I can do.
I wish I spoke more than English and a little Latin.
I'm a bit of a weird guy because I can only speak Portuguese and English and a hint of German, but no one actually recognizes where the hell am I from when I'm speaking in another language that's not English.
Punctuation in ancient Hebrew is annoying as hell but I guess it wouldn't too bad due to the short length of LS sentences.
I dont know so much about this language. Are there big differences between the Ancient Hebrew and the Modern ?
One has very old coffee and the other has rather new coffee.
I got a guy and let Leugi know in his biblical civs thread.
