Does every group have their own wonder?
I don't think so?
Its more closer to the Zulu then to Zimbabwe, but...
Replaces Rifleman. Unlocked at metallurgy, as opposed to rifling. Has lower combat strength(30 vs. 34) but faster and cheaper then the rifleman. May be consumed to increase population and territory in a city(can't be done more then 5 turns after the city was founded).
Replaces musketman. Extra combat strength while attacking. Both cheaper and stronger then the musketman, but costs extra maintenance out of friendly territory. Starts with shock I. May not be upgraded from Longswordsman.
Just Totalitarian so far
Totalitarian has a unique wonder?
I was gonna say....
Last requests for a Zimbabwe theme. I'm not going to make them entirely Trade/Defensive - since that's 90% of current CL civs. I'll put those traits as a secondary focus.
Well, obviously what we need to focus on is the icons next to the civs in your sig. We can still use gold and city connections! Production isn't taken either. So there you go!
City connections maybe? I know it's related to trade but it's not about building caravans, more infrastructure. I agree on not needing defensive.
I think something like Caral would be very fitting for Zimbabwe's role in history. Obviously we should go for something different but the idea of transporting goods form the coastal traders (who worked with Arabs, Persians) inland to the cities seems Civ-defining to me. Internal TRs is the obvious but I think city connections and roads as a way to spread out yields among your cities could be interesting. Also could end up as something CL isn't really into - a wide civ.
I'll third city connections. It's appropriate for Zimbabwe and something that hasn't been touched in CL before (I think?).
Now, generally speaking I always connect up my cities. So in order to make a connections based civ to be actually interesting to play. I think it should incentivize far away connections, and maybe even further incentivize connections through other civs' lands.
What about having a Wonder Replacement? Say, like, Hanging Gardens for Zimbabwe is a different wonder?
So, basically, you can always build it.
Could even have unique variants of a couple of different growth and defensive wonders, that have the same effect but are always availabile to Zimbabwe.
I just recall that from diving in the files and writing down stuff CulDiv added. Maybe it's not enabled, like the Bantu golden age bonus.
Teaser time! From one of our upcoming First Nation civs:
Is it Belgium?
This doesn't claim the tile however - and can do some other really awesome stuff not mentioned here
Will you include my suggestions?
(I dont like that teaser too much )
Probably not, but I am taking a lot of things into consideration. But yeah - last round to get your UU wants for Zimbabwe in - getting close to a good design.
You need something representing the rozwi.
