I discovered a small problem with the Wabanaki UI. It is minor, but the lua that iterates the plots around the improvement should take into account if the hex is off the map edge... so the relevant line in the code should be:

    if pAdj and pAdj:GetOwner() == -1 then

If CL ends up doing a Madagascar civ (and I think they should), they should definitely reference the Roc/Madagascar Elephant Birds in the events/decisions!

That's a really sweet icon - do we still have a release to git hype for today?

*observer's note: I love how TPang puts a ! at the end of sobering news so that it appears to be hype.

I noticed that you are planning a Papua civ. Will this be based on the modern day Papua New Guinea, or the colonial Papua?

You know me way to well. Anyway, here's some more sobering news: The Murri have been released!

    Spoiler :

    The Murri - Gambu Ganuurru
    by TPangolin and Senshidenshi
Special Thanks to Klisz, calcul8or, Slippery Snake, and Neirai

In this mod you'll play as Gambu Ganuurru, immortalized as the Red Chief and better known as the Red Kangaroo. Gambu Ganuurru was a revered and cunning chief and mighty fighter on the plains of northern New South Wales prior to European Colonisation. Like much of their counterparts on the Australian continent, the history of habitation in modern day Queensland is undeniably ancient. With a history stretching back 40,000 years, the Murri people flourished in and around Queensland and Northern New South Wales, often conglomerating in the centre of their collective territory to take part in a massive festival that involved a pilgrimage of thousands, upon thousands of people to a singular location.

    • Decisions will be added some time later this week.

Congrats on the release guys and gals!

I'm really liking the colours and other art for the Murri - so hopefully I'll be able to give them a try soon (though I may just wait for the E&D support update :p)

It seems that the majority of the Aboriginal civs released thus far have incentives to playing peacefully - do you intend to release a more aggressive/militarily oriented group (if such a group exists) to change things up a little? I definitely don't know enough about Precolonial Australia - so I apologise if an answer to this question seems obvious :p

The upcoming release list (along with Senshi's planned civs) should help flesh out TSL maps - really looking forward to them.

One question (for now) about the Murri: Is it intended that my starting units have a ~10 tile sight range at the start of the game? Not complete sight, mind you, everything was in fog of war, but the cloud cover was gone. I discovered my whole island (Large Continents) and a couple Natural Wonders as soon as I pressed "Start Journey" (or whatever the exact wording is).

Yeah, that's the Sahul starting bonus for CulDiv - it's pretty helpful in planning where to settle.

Huh, I don't recall that happening that drastically with past Sahul civs. But I am terribly forgetful, IIRC. Never mind then, just move along. Sorry for getting Senshi attacked by a ninja - hopefully he'll make a speedy recovery.

Well, the Kimberley were slated to fill that niche somewhat since they were one of the only groups to lead an armed resistance and rebellion to European Colonialism.

If we ever do a Palawa it'd be very military-oriented :groucho:

And it'd have a female leader :groucho:

It's basically the dream CL civ, actually. I think Neirai and I have a design somewhere...

Welcome to the "it's going to change later so who cares if you see it" show:

Today, the Palawa design in all its unfinished glory!

    Palawa:
Pillaging an enemy trade route or improvement will upgrade the pillaging unit and provide research towards technologies that the enemy has that you do not have.

    OR

Gain +1 XP for each Gold (Production?) yield on the occupied tile when inside enemy borders during war.

Perhaps melee units will automatically upgrade to it when defeating a gunpowder unit?
You shouldn't have to have the tech either

This is what I have written down, actually :p
