Command line switches in DosBox?

My dosbox.MOO2_settings CONF file contains the following:

[autoexec]
# Lines in this section will be run at startup.
@echo off
mount C "..\Master of Orion 2"
c:
cls
SETSOUND.EXE
exit

And I saw the command line switches on this site:

Could someone help with applying those? Whats the exact syntax needed?

The switches he is talking about are for the Orion exe. They have to be passed along with the command for orion.exe.

After the autoexec runs do you type in the orion exe? If so just add what ever switch you want to use in the format from the web site. I use ProGammaX to do all my DosBox commands.

Patch 140 coders added the switch to Orion as part of their mod.

The file I needed to edit is dosboxMOO2_single.conf

I tried to use dosbox to start MOO2 with the orion2.exe file and got a message that the program was unable to find all the necessary game files. I also tried reinstalling the game from the cd, but it would hang up. I'm not sure if it's the disk, or the dvd player, since the latter is old and acting iffy. This may be a hardware problem, but I probably screwed up formatting the commands in dosbox. So to be sure, would somebody mind posting the exact lines and format used to run MOO2 in dosbox? Both with the 1.31 patched version and the 1.40 version?

I use ProGrammaX to do launch DosBox. The easiest way is go to GoG and buy it for 2-5 dollars already to go.
