those two policies +2 gold per land trade route and per sea trade route, it never works for me. I chose those policies and my gold input didn't increase. Is it a bug?

Gold income from trade routes is fixed from the point that they start. When your trade routes are renewed they will give two more gold than before.

It's bugged as it is supposed to increase trade route output yet is not working. Same goes for trade routes not adding up especially sea trade routes in high yield capital to capital.

As the first response said, the effect only takes effect for new routes, not existing ones.

It should probably be clarified in the tool tip somehow, I doubt there are very many people (if any?) that understood it immediately.

More importantly, this also applies to the Exploration cargo ship bonus.
(You have to wait for the cargo ships routes to renew for those as well.)

False. At least in trade routes view gold income is not constant.

False, once the trade route is initiated it stays constant until it expires, Your trade routes DO not increase when they are active, so while the Trade Overview is updated, I'm pretty sure that either it is a bug, or you are looking at the wrong screen (Available Routes).

If you hover over the trade route icon at the top of the screen before and after taking the policy, you'll see it increase immediately. But if you look at your overall GPT, or hover over the GPT and look at gold "from trade routes between your cities and other civilization's cities", that doesn't change until the next turn.

The same is true if you buy a caravansary, or manipulate the value of a trade route by switching the source city to gold focus. It seems the game only recalculates your overall trade route income at the start of each turn.
