I want to put this flag in my mod but I just can fix the alpha channel correctly. Ifollowed the instruction in another threat but still it won't appear in the game.Just appeared plain white. Can someone can help me out or do it for me??:D
Thanks

If your flag is all white, check your " CIV4ArtDefines_Civilization" and look for your custom civilization and change <bWhiteFlag>0</bWhiteFlag> to <bWhiteFlag>1</bWhiteFlag>

I already did that but still knot working??!!:confused:

When you made the flag into dds, did you remember to save it as DDS DXT3 with a black alpha channel?

aI put your flag into gameplay and it worked. Although you may want to resize the Leaf on it;

When I made my magyar mod I had these problems as well. The reason is in fact the alpha channel. Most tutorials write that you have to save the texture WITH black alpha channel. These seems to be right for most systems. On other systems the same flag will be white. When you save it WITHOUT alpha channel it should work on your system, but will be white on the systems where it worked before. You have to put both textures (one with and one without alpha) in your mod package, so players that have problems with the default flag can replace it. Hope that helps.

Suggestion - The hammer and sycle are too small (tiny) inside the star, make them larger and 'behind' the leaf for better visual effect.

Are you using the DDS converter by any chance? Because I have had the exact same problem before when I tried it.

My plea to any experienced users here is, please tell us the exact output specifications to use when converting.

I got flags to work, but only recently.

What I eventually did was just discard the DDS Converter, as I realized it is nearly useless for actually making flags. Instead, I use this program called DXTBmp, which I found in Charcoal's Add A Civ tutorial. That walkthrough contains fairly good instructions on how to create custom flags. I have since begun making them regularly with ease. :)

Thank you for bringing up this thread! Would that all posters went back eventually and posted the solutions to their problems.
