Completely Dumb Ideas

New victory type - Moral Victory:

- Never declare war, always make peace as soon as possible, and never own nor raze cities outside of your core.
- Have the highest approval rate and life expectancy for 100 turns.
- Be the first to adopt every civic in the last row, and never adopt Despotism, Slavery, Totalitarianism, Free Enterprise, Theocracy, Conquest, Tributaries, or Colonialism.

But razing cities inside your core is okay?

If a British Great Statesman is killed, the Boers instantly get control of all British cities (a reference to Winston Churchill's plan to have South African PM Jan Christian Smuts take over for him during WWII if he died)
New Civ - The Israelites:

UU - Immigrant (replaces Settler):
Can join foreign cities, adding Judaism, Israelite culture and GP points.
UB - Kibbutz (replaces National Park): Extra food and commerce based on the number of Jewish cities across the world.
UP - The Power of Diaspora: Does not lose the game or collapse as long as you have units, foreign cities with Judaism periodically generate Immigrants.

UHV:
-Control the Jewish Holy City in -1300, -140 and 1950.
-Make sure Jewish cities across the world generate at least 70 Great People.
-Make sure 3 cities with Judaism have Legendary culture.

For those who can't decide between an ancient Judeah civ and a modern Israel one. Spend almost the entire game managing your Immigrants, for a playthrough unlike any other!

More like diplomacy, or flipping it through a wave of Immigrants spamming culture. That or defy history and somehow keep it across the ages.

If the thread hasn't tipped you off this isn't exactly a serious proposal, more of a commentary on how ill-suited the Civ model is to represent a people without a state for most of their history.
Isn't that what timed spawning is for? Americans, for example, didn't have a state until the late 18th century, Boers, not until the mid 19th century, etc...

Tough question, between Wagner and Mozart I'd be hard pressed to say who I dislike more.

They are really on opposite ends of the spectrum though. Wagner has too much pathos and self-importance. Mozart is pleasant to the point of vacuousness and annoyance.
I love music full of pathos (although I think Wagner wasn't a very good person, he was a great composer), I agree about Mozart, extremely bland.

What do you think about music like this? Is there a possibility we can get songs like this added to the soundtrack for the late 19th/early 20th century?

Trump Tower Wonder:

-Adds your civilization a diplomatic malus with every other civ besides the ones running Totalitarianism
-Halts your research weight at 10%
-Increases Russian espionage gains against your civilization by 100%

Also, there's art ready and available, no reason not to make it happen!

European and American Civs that become vassals of Rome should have their cities change names based on the Latin Name Chart (if they are any)

New type of Specialist - Crank: has a chance to be auto settled in a city every time a technology is researched for -2:science:, +1:commerce:, +1:yuck:, can be removed for 10 turns of .

New type of Building: Skyscraper, can be repeatedly built.
Each skyscraper provides two free specialists, a number of commerce and science, -4 population; food unlocked with vertical farming technology.
The number of commerce/science, cost of building one scales with technology.

Add the "Drug Cartel" corporation. You have to control an opium resource (or coke variety, depending on country) to found it. It gives you a Great Merchant with a dynamic name, Pablo Escobar for Colombia (which is actually in the mod) and Amado Carrillo or El Chapo for Mexico. Gives you a lot of commerce at the expense of unhappiness (and occasional unrest), -5 on relations with other leaders and low stability, and also each other turn you have to fight stacks of barbarians on pickup trucks representing the "narcos".
Of course, this song should be played after winning conquest or domination victory if having the corporation.

Maybe someone already suggested this, but why not make the work with vassals more like Hearts of Iron 4?
I propose to have a permanent ability for each civilization to control the status of each city along the following hierarchy:
Independent Territory <-> Puppet/Vassal <-> Own Territory
I mean six variants:
1. Independent territory -> Own territory. Capture the city (already in the game).
2. Independent Territory -> Puppet/Vassal. Transfer the captured city to your nearest vassal (already in the game) or, if possible, revive the civilization closest to this city and immediately make it a vassal.
3. Own territory -> Independent territory. Give the city independence (already in the game).
4. Own territory -> Puppet / Vassal. Transfer the city to a vassal (already in the game), or, if possible, revive the civilization closest to this city and immediately make it a vassal.
5. Puppet/Vasal -> Independent Territory. Order a vassal to give independence to some cities. We get a penalty.
6. Puppet/Vassal -> Own territory. Order a vassal to hand over a city to your civilization. We get a penalty. Or we order the vassal to fully integrate into your civilization. We get a big penalty.
It seems to me that this would diversify our game with the stability of your civilization and the stability of vassals.
For example, if you are at risk of falling apart, then you can allocate part of your territory as a new vassal. Or, on the contrary, considering that you are doing very well, you can integrate your vassal into your civilization.
