Mods, I know this belongs in another section, but I need help right away.

So I was playing Sid Meier's Railroads, when the computer locked up. So I hit the reset button. It wouldn't start.
I'm currently in Safe Mode with Networking.

What do I do??

CTRL/ALT/Delete Reboot...
Go to bios (hold down F9)...
Use 'default settings'...
Save and reboot again...

PS
Avoid Railroads in future...!

Do a normal reboot from safe mode into regular if you can, see if that works.

All right, I'll try.

I have to hurry before mom gets home and tries to "help" and ruins the computer.

I got my computer back.

lemme guess, you removed the Tom Petty CD and it worked? I hate when that happens...

That's why I try and break the discs in half after they've been in my computer in half. Usually, I aim for Tom Petty's face.

Thanks.

What happened was, I was playing the game and was inserting a blank CD to burn some files. And it froze up, and I rebooted, and then it got the "missing driver" thing. Where it starts up, but XP doesn't load, the screen just goes blank.

I got it back with System Restore.

I was uninstalling a buncha games this week, so I was thinking maybe one accidentally removed an important file. I'm going to be formatting my computer this weekend, just to be safe. :)

Good lord, you don't reset the BIOS just because you have a hard lock-up.
