The First Conquest
This game is on Demi-God on the first Conquest: Mesopotamia, I couldn't pick a civ to play with so I just picked random. I got Sumeria.
The land was fertile for our three skirmish parties have found it a year before. We were small families on this land living on our hunting and gathering what we found. Though one man, one man named Gilgamesh thought this wasn't the way it should be. He thought that a group of people is not strong being seperate but stronger being united. He gathered each family to a meeting in the river of the Euphrates and said that we need to unite under one ruler of all the people.
They agreed and cheered and made Gilgamesh the soul ruler of Sumeria. This was my story and how I became the king of this Manifest Destiny.

My first move for this country was to build a city where I would live. I would name this city, Ur. Right beside it I would make another city for the more poor of the citizens. I named the city, Sumer. Both cities shall prosper while another one is pending. I called my scholors into the room and asked them what we should study first, they told me it was a tough decision for they had many things in mind while exploring what we have found.
They came back the next day and said that the invention used for many years to hunt deer and other animals can be used in war. They told me a plan on how to find this out. I wondered and told myself, this is a great idea. I sent them to begin the research on a code to teach the men of my future mass army, the Warrior Code.
Three parties were sent in three different directions. One of them went west, another north-west and another to the north east of Sumer. These parties will come back with more news of our surroundings and make us more aware of what lays ahead. They same year our third city was built. This city was named Lagash. Its land around it was full of marshes and forests, we were weary of what was in them but took no chances.
Roads where being built to connect the three cities. Then suddenly a worker from the wheat plaines spots many warriors dressed in white ripped clothing. They were watching over the city waiting a time to attack. I redirected one of my Endiku Parties to protect the city of Sumer from attacks of this mysterious warriors and hunt them down.
While finding the encampent of the mysterious warriors we found of a new country similar to ours. We were outraged and wondered what where they doing on our river. We asked for an audience of thier leader and wanted them to evacuate thier settlements in our lands. They refused to comply and so we attacked thier city. They were defended by the same technology that the mysterious warriors used when we attaked thier encampment. The city of Ashur was ours.
The citizens grew unhappy through the years with thier families going away to fight and maybe no comeing back. Sumer and Lagash was one of those building the Endiku parties for exploration and combat against the Babylonians.
Burial Mounds were first build in Ur. This city was very populated and many died aswell through the years, this was the best place to ensure the gods were with thier lives while in thier death. Many populated the burial mounds at the time of the ceremony.
Ten years later my Scholors came back to my palace. I asked them for what where they here. They told me that the Warrior Code was discovered and that new troops that will know them can be trained for war. I asked them what could be done next to ensure more food in put in every citizens mouth every day? They told me they will have to think about that one for a day.
That same night a large battle was fought in Babylon. It was a fierce battle of our Endiku warriors. Everyone died and the city was not taken. A new strategy or solution was needed to make victory a sure thing for us. All four of the Sumerian cities were building improvements to make a better city, so military was not to be done there. We decided to take a risk and attack a nearby city with all garrison in Ashur and come back safely to protect both cities with one part of Enkidu. To our suprise more Babylonian Bowmen came from the smae direction making this a bad plan. Our archers would do no use against the Babylonian Bowmen so we continued to build more Enkidu Warriors. Ashur was lost. This was showing bad times in Sumerian History.
The next day the scholors came back with thier answer and told me some gibberish about irrigation. Without listening more and spending more time of science I told them to take what they want and research Irrigation, and so they did.
My skirmish party to the north came back with more news. They spoke of another nation called Medes. I was astounded with thier stories and offered peace with thier respect. In return we traded technologies to make each of our citizens more smarter. Thier technologies were smarter though they gave me a diplomat from a nation called the Hittite Empire. We took this deal and thier technologies and called it a day. It was called Animal Domestication and Tribal Council, they sounded interested and so they tought it to our scholors and our scholors tought it to everyone else.
We then spoke to the Hittities. They were less advanced then our nation and offered contacts with another tribe in which the Medes spoke of aswell. We gave them contact to the horrid Babylonians in return.
The next year we spoke to the mystical Pheonicians. They had not much to offer except rge secrets of the sea, Sailing. This would allow us to build small boats to explore this land and cross the sea. This was valuable and gave anything for it.
We were a very advanced tribe by the minute. Tribal Council was found out to be better than a Despotism and so we thought it was a good idea to switch but not just yet.
3120BC: Irrigation was discovered and changed the way of life for Sumeria for thousands of years later.
A new Skirmish party was sent to Babylon to finish them off and kill thier government, the people grow sad once again. Reinforcements were sent there forty years after.
We were the most advanced cultures in the world. We traded the secrets of Irrigation to the Medes who were right behind us in the tech race for 100 gold pieces. We were in dire need of it.
The battle at Babylon was started and lasted for many years. The first attack was a bad call from across the river. The troops were moved into a better position and thier small party of warriors attacked us and wounded one of our parties. 200 years later the reinforcements came one behind the other attacking the small populated Babylonian Capitol. They attacked. The first attack failed wounding the archers there and the second one sweeped the floor. Babylon fell.
We decided to make peace after the costly war. We took thier secrets of Writing and 29 gold pieces and also kept Babylon as our prize.
Many Many Many years later after exploring for many years we have found a civilization that will forever change the lives of Sumeria and thier foriegn relations, Egypt. For now they gave us Mining and Mysticm in return we gave them Irrigation and a Phonecian Diplomat.
