Constitutional Amendment: Shorten the Term Length?

This is a proposal to amend Article G of the Constitution to shorten the number of turns in a term to 25.

Original article:

Article G. All offices will be filled via election with terms lasting according 
to a fixed schedule based on game years. Terms shall be divided into 10 equal 
terms of 45 turns each and place elections accordingly.

Proposed changes:

Article G. All offices will be filled via election with terms lasting according

terms of 25 turns each and elections shall be held accordingly.[/b]

This amendment will require 13 affirmative votes to pass. This poll will be open until the quorum is met and will time out in 14 days if quorum is not met.

Because 45 turns takes a REALLY long time. This isn't the sp demogame here.

Term 3 has lasted from July 17 to November 29, a spread of almost 4 1/2 months (during which we've had 3 presidents and a long period where the president was still in office but unable to play the save). We really should cut the term length down to a reasonable level, and 25 turns makes the most logical sense.
