Controversial Proposition -- Remove Judaism

I always figured that the Islam split was one of the major reasons that they weren't able to conquer Constantinople if not the entire world.

I don't think it's right to see political disunion as a consequence of the schism. Actually the reverse is more correct. Given how closely religion and politics were intertwined at the time, adoption of a different religion/heresy often had important political causes.

To the point of adding Shiism, I don't think that it adds much to the game, but I don't see any downsides either, so :dunno:
 
Removing Judaism would make the game easier for most civs, Arabia especially but also Spain, Turkey, Rome, Prussia, and Italy. Would perhaps also make it slightly harder as France if you're going for the UHV. Worth questioning if that's desirable I think, even though I agree Judaism doesn't add a whole lot to the game beyond flavor
