Eh, Buckingham Palace would make a decent summer cabin for the early stages of my worldwide rule before the great transformation.

I recommend windor castle. It looks like a typical king arthur type place, but has been totally modernised inside so it isnt freezing cold and dark.
Oh, and i change my vote to the bottom of the ocean. Well, not bottom, it'll be very dark and empty, but somewhere like near coral reefs. that would be cool.

I might stay there a couple times, but really this will all be temporary housing before the grand spire is completed (which itself is only temporary housing before the great transfomation)
