Again two questions:

1) What makes Copernic observaroty obsolete?
In the civilopedia it is written that after Automobile. But actually I haven't noticed this in my test game...

2) If i have one city and build caravan, settler or some building, then i can't finish research a tech at the same turn. Moreover if I put science slider at 0% at the next turn then I will research that tech. Is it OK? And this is a famous bug...or just my civ1 version is not complete?

Oh, Valen, thanks a lot!

So, Copernicus's Observatory is exteremly useful for OCC.

Probably you could answer one more question:
I have Collosus in my one city, the city cells give 32 commerce, and 8 commerce comes from 2 trade routes.
In this city I have Market, Bank, Library and University (so money and science have 100% boost). But...if I put tax as 100% for money, then I receive 90 gold. On other hand, if I put tax 100% science then I receive 80 beakers.

What does explain this 10 gold?...This civ1 so incomlete and has hide mechanics...This is very annoynig, especially after civ4.

Market, Bank, Library, University... That's a 100% boost to science, but a 125% boost to tax and luxury. Market and Bank stack, while Library and University do not.

Edit: I feel like I should be more clear. Library and University, alone or together, add 50% to the science total, so 1x+0.5x+0.5x=2x times more science. Market and Bank separately add 50% to tax and luxury, but together they work like this: 1*1.5*1.5=2.25. Think of it as a tribute to compound interest.

Even after years of Civ, I can still learn something new about it. I never noticed the extra bouns banks gave to luxuries and gold. Thanks, Urtica dioica.

Oh...I didn't know that. Thank you very much!
I thought markets and banks work like in civ3 or civ4, where they boost base production.
Actually such markets and banks look very unnatural for me...And even more - they and science have different mechanic. Probabaly this is due to the science wonders only.
