copy my disc?

is it possible to make a back up copy of my civ3 complete disc? i would like to have a copy for my laptop and one for my desktop. when i tried to burn an image i kept getting an error. is this just not possible because of copyright issues?

It's possible that Civilization titles are too complex to be burned. I think you might have damaged the disk while trying to burn it, so you should try to run the disk as soon as possible.

You can make a copy, and the copy would install the game, but it would not work for running the game. The copy protection stops that. You need the original CD to satisfy the game start check.
