Copyright Screen hang

Since latest update (after the worldwide release), when the copyright screen comes up, I get no response - i.e., unable to click on "Click to Continue". Only when I Alt-Tab and then back in, then it highlights and I am able to click on that.

Sorry, double post.
Got elsewhere an report, that it might fix the problem, when you delete 6 (n/g)cf-files in the Steam/Steamapps folder (not really sure what this means). The files will then get downloaded again and it works afterwards.
Please try this out .

I see 7 pertaining to Civ5, including winui and sourceinit.

Confirmed. This happens when you set the intro videos off. From what it seems, the cursor is outside the game, in the desktop (you can see the generic white windows one when you move it). Alt-Tab out and in the game switches to the normal Civ cursor.

So - does this only happen in windowed mode?

No, I'm in full screen mode. The cursor at that screen should be an animated blue arrow but it's the standard white windows cursor, preventing me from any action on that screen (can that screen be bypassed?). Alt-Tab twice resets the cursor.

OK - can you please post your system specs?

Intro movie off in full screen mode will lead to "being outside the game", which means that a click will not trigger anything and it seems then that the game was stuck.
Is this description right?

One more bit of information. When the screen appears, the cursor is the correct blue/gold but as soon as you do a mousemove, it changes to windows default.

I have same issue as Buccaneer. pointer is normal civ5 at copyright screen, and once moved it goes to my normal white pointer. Windows XP, nvidea 9400gt. updated card with latest drivers, but I think it's the game because it started doing it after I changed the intro movie setting from 0 to 1.

I am using full screen game, so I push the window button on my keyboard (between ctrl and alt) to minimize, and then I click on the game to maximize and the curser is back to Civ5 curser and I can click "continue".
