Well what should we build at Cornmaster.

It already has three defenders but we could always build a pikeman and then move it to a newly created city. The city still does not have a market or a library so these should probably be our priority.

Market, then caravan to rush build Cops Obs in THDP. And ASAP get a road built on that square to the far East, or else move production to another square that has a road or some sort of trade.
 
A marketplace ,just like Leowind said.Maybe after that a courthouse ,but preferably caravan's ,as this city has quite a good production potential.

Do we really need three defenders here? Perhaps we should move one and re-home it to a city supporting only one unit so we don't have to pay that support cost.

I agree that having 3 defensive units based here is entirely unnecessary at this stage of the game. It will take 17 turns to build a caravan with 3 units, and 13 to build with only 2 units. We need to rehome the surplus unit elsewhere. As you may have guessed, I think we need all the caravans we can get together at this particular point in the game. These wonders often make all the difference and as we already have Mike's then we have made a good start, but we will still need Cop's and Newton's, Leo's and Adam Smith's, along with JSB's and Sun Tzu's if these are felt necessary.
 
GUYS:

This city only makes ONE coin right now!!!!

A marketplace will only increase output by 50% and rounds down. This means that it will continue to produce ONE coin but we'll be losing money due to the upkeep!

Again, as I seem to be doing quite often of late, I agree with Duke. There is nothing so pressing for this city (outside of some improvements which are on the way) that it could not wait for a caravan production. It's wonder-mania time and an extra 50 shields can make all the difference.
