Given the ruminations about nuclear armageddon from certain micro-powers and the peanut gallery, the government of the Confederation has deemed it prudent to release details of negotiations between it and the government of the American Empire. At the outset of the scenario, the two sides reached an agreement on free trade and mutually secure borders. Here, Techumseh, the representative of the Confederation is seen arriving for the talks.

And here, the representative of the Empire, John somebody, arrives.

The Confederation government looks forward to a long peaceful and mutually beneficial relationship with our friends to the east.
