Corporate Espionage

I just wanted to pop in a thought:

When you put a corporate franchise into a rival Civ's city, it should generate some espionage points against the rival Civ for you. I'm not arguing for a whole point, maybe something like a .25 point of Espionage per turn. I think it would make sense being that you've got people (at least theoretically) in the other guys land managing things, competing against local busines etc, it seems reasonable to me that they could always send back info the home ofice which could by utilized by the Corporate HQ owner to gain insight into the rivals lands (at the very least their economy).

Any thoughts?

you could view it as we sold, well no, we flat out gave 'em, along with a start-up fund, the franchise. from that point the operation is run entirely locally, and they pay their own workers, that's the maintenance free which doesn't go back to HQ. but our start-up fee was worth it because they send back a fixed amount to HQ every month to keep the right to use our name .

mechanics-wise, i read it as "when you put" it there and if there's any bonus i think it ought to apply only to those cities. but can the system remember which ones i spread it too, and which cities they spammed it to themselves? they've turned out to be awfully good spammers in my current game.

The next request would be to add espionage for the owner of the holy city to all other civs for spreading that specific religion. This could be very powerful especially early when the Civs are only generating 4 EPs per turn from their palace and an additional 1 or 2 EPs per turn could be a big difference.

Nope, I wouldn't add the additional espionage points.
