corrupt file

cannot install any patches. get executable trying to run from is corrupt. where can I go to get software to find corrupt file????

What are you trying to patch, where did you get the patch, did you try to d/l the patch from an alternate site? What system are you using (mac vs pc), what Operating system?

A few more details would be helpful. . . .

winxp
d/l ptw 1.21 from firaxis games to civ3 folder.
install patch and says "executable you are trying to run is corrupt,
view integrity of file and try again.
I remove and reinsatll ptw and civ 3 and try again but cannot install the patch.
where can I get program to check what file(s) in computer are corrupt??
did norton scan.no viruses.

My guess is a problem with downloading the patch.

When you check the size of the downloaded patch does it say that it's the same size as from the website?

If not then try to redownload the patch.

Yeah. . . I would do what Centrifuge said, and try to d/l it from an alternate site.

I encountered the same problems sometimes, and it was only because of a problem during the downloading : try again, even from the same site if you can't find alternate...
