Cosmic Era - Sci-Fi mod for Civilization 4 - discussion/R&D/brainstorm -thread

I have been toying with the idea of creating a mod based in the universe of Gundam SEED and SEED Destiny. Now, today, I read a thread about the creation of new Civilizations, and I considered it pretty easy. I wrote Orb in some five-six hours. It didn't work, but what would you expect from a guys first try, eh? So, I figured I'd need other people aswell to work on this, as it would definetly be hard to sort this out all by myself.

Ergo, I'm recruiting scripters, modellers and generally people who would poke in and share their ideas and thoughs about the mod.

There was this old sci-fi TBS game called "Deadlock" that had an excellent tech tree. Does anyone else remember that game?

I was thinking if I could get this mod into being an EXTENSION to the core game, adding a new part to the tech-tree and a new era (the Cosmic Era, duh).

I dont think the idea of CE fits into Civ 4 (as a mod), its more of like a scenario/era? Maybe after George Glenn was born?

I think having a mod that adds C.E. as an era would be cool. I'd love to help but i can't do anything .i think i'll go learn to do some thing.btw i'm downloading you'r Zaft mod as i speak.

I think C.E. should start after a civ learns electromagnetism (new tech) and builds a mass-driver (info). Here’s a gmax modal I made \/(yes i know its crap but at least it only took 10 mins)
