A spoiler! (About time) Quick and to the point (since you have probably finished a long time ago.) Did you move or build your capital in place? What was your initial strategy and how did it play out? Any major plans/occurance/events happen that impacted your Ancient Age? And how were you set up as you entered the Middle Ages?

About 6000 years ago, I think I moved 2 tiles W-NW to found the capital. I wanted both fish and a coastal tile.

The target was soon determined to be a diplomatic victory. So I needed to be tech leader and tech broker, dealing techs for luxuries, resources, and occasional gpt deals. Scouting phase quickly revealed we were on an island. A few settlers were built to found 3 more cities. Curraghs were sent out to find trade partners.

Instead of further expansion, the cities were improved and the Collossus was built. At the beginning of the MA, I had 4 cities on the starting island and was #1 in population and income.

Going for 20k
QSC stats: score 3743, 5 towns, 12 pop (6/3/1/1/1). All AA techs except currency, monarchy, construction; all contacts.

Predator Domination Challenge

I founded Trondheim in place, worked the Fish and built a couple of
Curraghs. Settling the little island took some time due to the lack of
fresh water.

2430 BC Found Bergen
1910 BC Found Copenhagen
1300 BC Found Reykjavik
1175 BC Found Oslo

I then went on to found cities on the surrounding land masses and made
sure to claim a source of Horses, which was connected around the globe
over Coastal waters. There would be some glitches in the early phases
because of being at war with tribes controlling these Coasts.

1025 BC Found Stockholm
1025 BC Found Birka

Using several Curraghs, I collected connections, mapped the world and

After I had discovered The Republic and modernized my Rule, Trondheim
built four-turn Settlers and I continued to expand at the expense of
my neighbours, which some of the more aggressive of them didn't quite
accept. But I had no problems fending them off, as I was building up
for war anyway.
