Well...i wanted to try to conquer the world.(while i'm good at it in scenarios, i have a much harder time in epics). Now, my civ might startle you, i wanna conquer the world with the Iroquois(i wanted to try to dominate without a militaristic trait). I mean the UU seems good. And agricultural and commercial are nice traits.

On to my game. My starting position is quite nice, alot of luxuries, alot of grasslands, nice amount of hills, mountains. Now, I've done a war with the Inca, and the vikings. I,m trying a new strat. I,m rading civs. Gradually taking there strenght and adding them to min.

I've just redeclared war with the inca(to get wine). What i wanna build in my cities are a marketplace, temple, libraires, universities(sicence labs if i get there), banks, sotock amrkets, and a courtouse and police station. I'm trying to be more agressive, by attacking them when are armies are comparable isntead of waiting 25 turns to get superior(besides...at monarch the A.I likes making military more). I,m currently in a monarchy. Check out my game please.

Is raiding effective? What should i do in my game? Was taking the iroquois a good idea? And afterwards, what goverment should i take in the long run? Hope made my situation clear.

On a side note, how do i insert an image into a thread. When i click insert image, i'm stumped on what to type(Enter the text to be formatted. <imgXXX/img>, sorry it'S not obvious to be me). Please tell me, that way i can insert an image for this thread(for those of you to lazy to download my game).

You can just upload an attachment.

Oh, what difficulty is this? And are you using Governor?

The Iroquis are not a bad choice for conquering. The traits are generally good (although militaristic is usually best for massive conquering) and their UU is among the best off the ancient age.

I had a look on the save...some comments:
    - connect the conquered wine as far as possible...perhaps this will make it possible to set the lux slider back to 0%, which means additional money.Protect the workers for this task with spearmen if necessary, but connect it.
    - your conquering seems to be very effective, but you should plan better defense for the conquered cities...Tromso and Molde are undefended.Their is no actual threat, but you never know...I prefer bringing in defenders from out side in instead of building them from scratch in undeveloped cities.
    - develop your economy...build more wokers and develop every tile you harvest with a citizien (for example Akwesasne is building a granary in 17 turns.wh not build a worker first and develop the land a round the city)
    - after this, starting building marketplaces and switch over to republic (if your losses in the wars not to heavy and if your military is not to big.Take the time and calculate your support and costs before switching)
    - you could fit three more cities in your territorium: between Centralia and Salamanca at the edge of the desert, between Niagara and Tonawanda and between Oil Springs and St.Regis at the Russian border

Thanks! Molde i got trough diplomacy, in exchange for peace with the vikings, iasked for a town, but ok you're right about def. More workers will be in my list as well.

I admit i've only been good at making good cities when I'm a pure peacifier. When I,m at war i have a much harder time controlling them, cause i build alot of military, and the micormanagemenen can be becaome exhaisting(in the current point in my game, i'm handling averagly...later on all the cities i conquered are almsot alwyas lost causes due to lack of micro on my part....i'll try to correct this).

I,ll send some spearmen right into my cites. I,m plannign on redlaring war on the vikings to take the cities norht of oslo(cn't remeber it'S name). I ahve no steal, so that town would be quite useful for making knights(mounted warriros can only go so far.) Another question, should i upgrae my tropps, or jsut make new ones?

Yes, the iron should be your next target - without it, warmongering in the middle ages will be difficult (only longbowmen as attackers, no pikemen as defense).

About upgrading units...it much more expensive since Conquests. The multiplicator is now 3x, which means upgrading a Mounted Warrior to a knight will cost 120 gold.I think this is too much - go on with the MW and help them with trebuchets, which can soften up the defense of enemy cities.
Disband the warriors (after building new pikemen), keep the spearmen and upgrade them one by one if you have enough money (of course first in the critical cities).Make sure the iron is connected to your road network ASAP.

Yes, city development (and micromanagment) become time consuming if the game goes on, but it's the key for success.Especially if you are at war - every shield you produce means more troops to build, every commerce your earn a unit more to support.

Ok now...lets make an update. War is sweet. I,mt he biggest guy there is(altghough france is still very much strong). The viking are no more. I made a war witht he inca, got some cities. I ahve now 7 luxuries(nice). To top it all off..i've jsut created a scientfic grerat leader. I,m curently reseching banking to get economics for to get smiths trading(hey i got sicnce leader, and i'm gonan build markets and banks and stocks).

However...as everything looks sweet...i'm afraid i'm still doing a bad warmongering job. Lemme explain. My army is quite ancient(only mounted warriors, please see my veryfiorst post on the thread for the 411). And..i fear I'm doing war much too slowly. I mean, i hear playes getting like 25% of of the world by the mddle ages end, yet i ''only'' have 11 %. I'd upload my game...but it'S too big for the manage atchements thing. Any other way to psot my game??? I,d really apprciate it.

Am i doing war too slowly? if so...how do i correct it(i'm not expecired in warmongering with epic games).

I rather a builder than are warmongerer, too, so I tend to end up with the same situation - being the biggest civ, but far from dominating the world.Be the biggest is emough to win the game, but if your goal is conquering the world, 11% is not much.Nevertheless, I would stop war until researching Military Tradition and getting cavalry.I think your opponents now have at least Pikemen or Musketman, so Knights or even MW are not very effective.
If you get Smiths Trading Company and have money to burn you can upgrade some MW, but my advise would be disbanding (exception: keep elite ones, which haven't generated a MGL yet, do not upgrade them and use them for killing damaged enemies, so you may get some easy MGL.And armies can be very helpful for conquering the world...) them in corrupted cities to get shields out of them and to replace them with fresh Cavalry.Shouldn't be a problem if you have built up your shield production. After having a decent stuck of cavalry(and artillery units, which are always useful) go on with conquering.

There is something called "Easy upload system" which is able to accept files upto 3mb, but I'm not sure if it is for savegames, too.If you are interested, you can send me the game via e-mail, i will send you a PM.
