Could someone please help me?

I'd like to creat a scenario for myself, but don't know how. All I need to know is how you changes the course of time, so insteed of 10 years it only goes one month, how you place out cities and units while creating the map and how you start in a diffrent year, like 1698... Do you understand? I have no idea how you do this and would realy wanna know. Oh, BTW... How do you do your own units?

I've seen posts here that say there is no current way to edit the time frame for years - looks like you'll have to wait for a patch for that
