I have two problems i've come accross over the last week with Civilization Five and wondered if you may be able to help me.
Taking a city crashing
In a game where there were two continents, I had take the majority of one continent taking out two or three opponents on Prince difficulty, there were three remaining enemy cities left, and I had around 40, i think.
However, upon taking a city, my game crashed, I restarted and loaded an autosaved, played to the turn before I was going to take the city, saved it and then tried again, it crashed, so I restarted and tried to take the other two remaining cities and each time the game crashed.
(This city was not the last of any civilization so it wasn't the diplomacy screen coming up that crashed it telling me they were defeated).
It was the largest map setting, pancea (sp?) with the most computer opponents and 20 CS's.
Any idea why it kept crashing? How to fix it?
Waking up and all save files gone
I let my five year old daugther play Plants Versus Zombies while i'm being lazy and taking a lie in, however upon waking up properly my computer had been turned off and some stuff on the desktop moved around.
When loading CiV 5 up, all the resolution settings had gone back to default (Full screen 2560x1600 as opposed to my usual windowed 1920x1200 and the ini set to play that intro movie again), I was about to load up a really fantastic Prince level game I had played the previous night (A new one) for all my autosaves and normal saves to be gone. (I don't use Steamcloud out of habit).
Any idea where those save files have gone?
