crash to desktop

Every time I build a wonder, any wonder, I get booted out to the desktop. Doesn't happen when I discover a religion or any other time when it plays a video sequence, only when it's a wonder, the sound starts hacking, and then I'm told civ has encountered a problem and shuts down... why?why?why?, gratefull for any advice

Same here. Actually, my computer reboots when a Wonder movie is about to play, but if I then enter the game and reload right before the Wonder is completed, the movie plays.

This only happened after I installed patch v3.19 for BTS. I guess it's a performance problem, though.

Fellas, I don't mean to sound like a big meanie, but it's really hard to help you out if we don't have some information to work with, like:

Your OS and service pack information.
Some machine details (graphics card, amount of memory, etc.)
Version of Civ. (Complete, GOTYE, Steam, D2D, etc.)
Maybe a DXDiag file if you can post one.

I know how frustrating it can be to have these problems, and I really want to help if I can, but just a "Help me" post without some detail keeps us from getting you an answer quickly, so that you can get to playing and take less Tylenol, right?

No need. I spent two grand on a high-end computer last week, and the problem's gone.
