I'm no expert on Chinese, but I've read that "Shi Huangdi" mean "The first emperor" and "Qin Shi Huang" means "The first emperor of Qin".

In R&F they are adding granularity to the alliances. Some will share visibility but other types will not. The Cree will have visibility with any type.

As least, they are making the effort to use indigenous forms of the names. I remember the Iroquois city-list in Civ5 with Montreal as a city-name, shudders

The first non-obvious choice of civ for this expansion! It’s taken far too long to get some Native American civs (excluding the Aztecs), and I hope the Cree’s inclusion doesn’t mean there won’t be the Inca as well.

The Cree look good, it’ll be inter sting to see how useful the trade route land grab is in the early game and how that influences city placement. A buffed scout is an unremarkable choice, and while it fits, I find myself rarely bothering with Scouts these days.

Firaxis needs to sell that jacket in their merchandise store! Poundmaker is probably the coolest looking leader since Gilgamesh!

Don't forget such Iroquois names as Grand River, Brantford, and Lake Simcoe!

It does. I was surprised to see the similarity in design. I also googled a Cree Raven and got another selection of images similar to PNW art.

Holy crap, the Cree! Living in Saskatchewan its awesome to have our region represented like this. 1st Canadian Amerindian/First Nation Tribe in a Civ game too.

There is a Canadian First Nations group, "A Tribe Called Red", that combines modern music and produciton, rap lyrics and traditional drums/chants that could fit the bill. More Information age thought.

Wow, he looks so cool, I'm really happy.

Don't know how useful that early trade route, and the tiles it claims will be. I'm a bit worried barbarians will just pillage those units that early on. I like it though. It looks fun expanding your territory and connecting cities like that. One thing I like about scouts is that you can keep building them for a long time. I'll probably play the Cree first. Can't wait.

Don't know if it's been discussed already, but does he have his own architecture? Can't really tell on my phone screen.

The Cree palace does not look like an Aztec pyramid for sure.
