Cultural flip. A city is asking to join my civ.

So, one of the bordering cities wanted to join me from a cultural flip.
So I took the city.

A few turns later I get a message that that city 'rightfully wants to join it's original civ.

So I said forget it.

I guess a short stay under my 'enlightened rule' was all it took to make them want to go back.

They will feel better after I win.

I'm Ethiopia and the other is Hammurabi (Babylonian).

That 'rightfully wants to join..' pop-up comes up way too often anyway, kind of annoying.

You should turn off the advisor and Sid's Tips (from the options menu). They'll recommend all sorts of stupid stuff. For example, you get the "city wants to join other civ" message if your newly-acquired city is too close to the other civ's borders.
