Curious about the Kurios

I've played a few games with the kurios lately with the latest patch and i've noticed i can't assign workers on the extra tiles that the sprawling cities could work... I remember that in the past i could do that, why can't i do it now? Do i have to turn some option on or are the Kurios bugged?

When you say "assign workers", I assume you mean "assign population to work". Make sure you are looking at an actual city, and not a settlement. Settlements are limited to a population of one, and that population point can only be assigned to work tiles in the regular BFC, not the enlarged Sprawling Cross. (Also, that population will almost always be better employed as a specialist, but that's another topic.)

If you mean the workers can't build improvements on the tiles, make sure your cultural borders have spread far enough. You can't build improvements outside your culture.

Ah, yes, that's a good point - and it also applies to assigning population in the city screen. Until those tiles are in your cultural borders, there's not much you can do with them.

Sorry, i wasn't clear enough. I meant assigning the city's population to work those tiles. I'm talking about cities and i have the necessary cultural borders . I'm playing FFH for a number of years now, I'm no noob, I'm just a lurker.

There's nothing special you need to do to be able to work those tiles, and as far as I know there aren't any bugs that will prevent it. If you upload a save of your game I can take a look at it.

Also make sure another city (or settlement) hasn't claimed those tiles.
