So, I have been holding out for a while to purchase this game on Mac. My primary reason is because I want to make sure that I have a rich mod-filled experience similar to what I had with Civ V (which was amazing). How is Civ VI for Mac? Are there [or will there be] lots of mods that add world maps and civs to the game? I really don't like Windows for gaming or anything else, so any help/advice/commentary is appreciated!

Most mods seem to work with mac as well. There may occur some problems when a windows patch is out and not yet released for mac. But if you disable auto-updates, this is no problem.

As far as I know, they haven't released the full SDK for Civ VI yet, so no one is producing custom DLLs. Custom DLLs result in Windows-only mods.

You can easily play mods, but honestly, making them is huge challenge on a mac. Most of the tutorials online are like, "Then use the mod buddy import tool etc." We DON"T have that! It's honestly great for playing, but not for creating.
