Really? It'd be harder for me to write without loops.

I am still recovering from my surprise that these wacky people far away from the familiar Russian surroundings often don't use cursive script.

The only problem with my Russian cursive is that my 'sh' and 'shch', and my 'i' and 'ts' look the same; I can't do the little loopy thing. If I overdo it for 'ts' it ends up looking like 'oo'

The only thing more annoying is people spelling words like "color" with 'u's.

I can write both but most of the hand writing I do is notes and I want them in sexy clean print. I write cursive if I leave notes for people. I'll scan a sample of my handwriting later tonight.

EDIT: I've had a few professors that only write in really scratchy cursive. So I've had to retain my elementary training in the style.

Print is the way to go, cursive takes longer for me. I hate it.

I don't do anything in cursive. My signature is printing the first letter and scribbling a line after it, and everyone accepts it. It isn't cursive, it isn't anything but a squiggly line.

I hate cursive, nobody can read anyone else's cursive righting. Stop using it.

Cursive writing and the Dewey decimal system occupied most of my third grade year. I wrote in cursive until high school, when I realized I couldn't read my small, tightly pressed script. I write in legible print today, although I still hold the paper at an angle.

I've never found cursive to be faster, especially with all those loops. I use my own style of print, and the only thing that I have written in cursive in the last decade probably is my signature.

In a hurry I slip into my personal bastardized version of cursive combined with print.

I'm thinking we need to see some scanned images. I'll write something and post it tomorrow if I can find a scanner. :)

My English cursive "A", "Q" and "z" are much more similar to their printed counterparts then the ones in the Wiki page, though.

When I write in Russian, which is rare, it is almost always in cursive. It's annoying to read though, because there is no clear separation of letters for letters like и, л, м, ц, ш, щ, and ы.

I swear I remember reading a word once that could have two print interpretations depending on context. All that I remember about what the word was is that it didn't follow the usual rules of grammar.
